Lectures, workshops and courses in London

Additionally to my photo sessions, I'm also offering seminars and workshop to local camera clubs in London and private tuition to individual photographers.

I'm very enthusiastic and passionate about photography especially when it comes to off-camera lighting. Acquiring and improving my skills are not enough, I want to share my knowledge and help other photographers at all levels to better understand light and their flashguns.

Off-camera flash techniques is a misunderstood subject and photographers starting the subject often get confused with how to juggle between the camera and flash settings. In my group and one-on-one tuitions, I'm trying to clarify these technical confusions in simple and non technical words avoiding to mention too much of these rules and laws but rather demonstrating them.

Thank you

Huy,
I just wanted to say thank you for your Introduction to off-camera flash photography at the LPMG, held in Westbourne Park yesterday, I have been playing around with my SB800 today, I've had it a year but never used it because the results were disappointing and at £300 it's a lot of money to be left in your camera bag, now since your easy to understand workshop, it has helped me understand how to use my flash unit to it's potential, now I'm looking at buying another one so I can utilise the CLS on my Nikon. and you DIY kit was usefull now I'm looking for black straws.
The way we had the morning lecture then went out and practiced what you said, they came back into the theatre and finished off the workshop with a critique of images we took was great.
Looking forward to the next group meet with you.
Regards

Off camera flash lecture

Huy has given several lectures at Ealing and Hampshire House Photographic Society. He has an enthusiasm for off camera flash which inspires the audience to try it for themselves. Some demonstrations utilised the club projector connected to his camera so that everyone could see the effects of his different lighting arrangements. These practical, informative sessions are very popular and we look forward to his future lectures.

Off-camera flash talk

Huy came along to one of the meetings for the KCL Photo Society to talk to us about using off-camera flashes. He gave a great presentation describing useful tips and tricks for using flashes off-camera and gave demonstrations to the group as he went along, illustrating all the points he was talking about.

From all the group - thanks for coming to talk to us!
